The Police Technician is a non-sworn civilian position that serves at the discretion of the Chief of Police for an unspecified period. The position is responsible for contacting and interviewing victims and witnesses, preparing reports for non-in-progress incidents, responding to scenes of prior incidents, taking reports by telephone, and reviewing or completing reports submitted online. The Police Technician also performs confidential administrative and clerical duties that support law enforcement operations and handles assignments that do not require the involvement of a sworn, commissioned police officer.

The City is seeking a self-motivated, versatile candidate with water distribution and wastewater collections experience. The Utility Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and operations of the City’s underground utilities. Volunteer advocates provide on-scene response and support to victims and witnesses of crime, sudden death, and other emergency situations. Volunteer Victim Advocates provide immediate crisis intervention, individual and family support, information regarding the criminal justice system and Colorado’s Victim Rights Act (VRA), referrals to community agencies and resources, assistance in obtaining emergency shelter, and support in addressing other immediate victim needs.
